My artistic journey has evolved from hyper-realistic beginnings to the exploration of expressionism and the embrace of simplified shapes and forms. The artists who influence me include Jackson Pollock with his dynamic splatters, Helen Frankenthaler with her innovative use of colour, and Andy Warhol’s pop commentary. I draw inspiration from Frida Kahlo’s emotional depth, Cindy Serman’s thought-provoking self-portraits, and Henri Matisse’s vibrant colours and forms. The street art of Banksy, the comic-style brilliance of Roy Lichtenstein, the evocative works of Gerhard Richter, the delicate insights of Berthe Morisot, and Georges Seurat’s pioneering pointillism further enrich my artistic vision.

I am a contemporary artist and photographer who creates conceptual art that delves into the human form, light, paint, colour and my personal journal. My painting style has evolved from hyper-realistic beginnings to a focus on simplified shapes and forms, influenced by action painting, expressionism, and stencil art. Through the use of solid shapes and the spaces between them, I seek to portray both the visible surface and the hidden layers beneath.

In my original works, I exclusively utilise professional-grade artistic spray paints, acrylic paints, and acrylic mediums, employing top-quality products from brands such as Golden, Liquitex, and Derivan Matisse. I work entirely on horizontal surfaces, a choice that intentionally refers to the feminine, allowing me to immerse myself in the artwork from all angles.

My painting process involves layering techniques, where I begin with the background using action painting methods - pouring, dripping, and splashing paint - actively involving my body in the creation process rather than relying solely on the paintbrush.

The figure is crafted using contemporary pop art techniques combined with stencils. A further layer of hand painting harmoniously unites the foreground and background. My colourful palette features strong contrasts that evoke a sense of strength and vitality. Today, my paintings are incredibly unique and are sought after internationally, as no one else paints like I do!

My underwater photographs of women not only inform my paintings but also celebrate the same themes, embracing the genre of illusionistic realism. The ethereal yet realistic nature of my photographs provides accurate depictions of life forms and perspectives, highlighting the intricate details of light and colour. Occasionally, they venture into the realm of the surreal.

In these underwater realms, time and form are suspended; the light transforms colours, and shapes and shadows dance, creating breathtaking reflections. For me, the most remarkable aspect of being underwater is the temporary escape from the outside world. In those moments, distractions and stress are absent, replaced instead by tranquility, coolness, and a profound sense of freedom.

In my underwater paintings and photographs, I strive to tell a story that immerses the viewers in a magical, elevated realm. The way hair and clothing dance gracefully with the water creates an enchanting sense of movement, while the models appear suspended in space, inviting contemplation. Light filters and flickers through the surface, casting exquisite reflections that add depth and intrigue to each piece.
This ethereal scene is enveloped in a cool, tranquil fluidity, resembling a bubbly medium that symbolises a sanctuary of safety and healing. Through my art, I aim to transport my audience to this serene world, allowing them to experience a moment of peace and wonder beneath the waves.
