“I dig a French bikini” named after a lyric in the Beach Boys "California Girls". Kerry wanted to feel that fresh, sunny, summer of youth - hence the painting. Bright and contrasting green and pink - colours of the season - giving that fresh vibrancy that would be perfect for the beach house or the pool pavilion - or just because you love those summer feels. A bright and "popped" interpretation of a still of a You Tube video.
Kerry has used a contemporary approach using techniques such as expressionism and pop art to capture her model in contrasting colours to give a sense of movement and energy.

This painting is painted using professional artist acrylics and mediums from Matisse, Golden, and Liquitex Professional Spray Paint. Golden Self Levelling Medium has been painted onto the canvas prior to painting the image - creating texture and an impression of movement to the surface of the painting. The painting is protected with a Satin Varnish.

Painted onto un-stretched canvas, the face of the painting measures 190.5cm x 121cm. Kerry has allowed a further 8 cm all around the painting to allow for stretching by your preferred professional framer - this will give you a painted edge to carry around the sides of your stretched canvas.
