I work from found and created photographs and I was captivated by the splash and movement in the image. I love colour and this painting has plenty of deep beautiful purples contrasted against greens - and lots of splashes, drops, and movement through the application of the paint. I was also interested in achieving depth in the movement of the paint layers which can be seen in the detail photograph.  
In this painting I've used high quality artist acrylics and mediums, and a high gloss oil based varnish. As with most of my paintings I personally mount it on an "inbuilt" frame and then paint the painting as the frame and board as one unit. Please note I am not a carpenter - I am an Artist - and I would suggest that you discuss the framing with your preferred framer to ascertain their recommendations on the piece if you are concerned at all. As this is a semi-large piece I recommend hanging it directly from the two D rings that I supply on the back of the painting, not from a wire. I recommend 2 hooks holding the painting directly to the wall, not from a single wire.
